Edo Wonderland “Nikko Edo-mura” in Tochigi Prefecture
Do you want to be a Ninja? Do you want to see a Samurai? Then, Edo Wonderland can make your dream come true! In Tochigi Prefecture, there is a special park where you can feel the atmosphere of the Edo period (around 1603 – 1868). You can also try Edo fashion, jobs, and watch dramatic performances.
*Tochigi Prefecture is about 2 hours from Tokyo by train.

Sanrio Puroland in the Western part of Tokyo
Puroland is where you can meet a lot of lovely mascot characters of Sanrio such as Hello Kitty, My Melody and Little Twin Stars. As this is an indoor theme park, the weather doesn’t bother you. Not only “Kawaii” exhibition and rides for kids, but also there are fabulous musical and parades which adults can enjoy.

Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki Prefecture
A small Amsterdam in Japan is called Huis Ten Bosch. Once you step in, you’ll see the different type of townscape from Japanese. The area is huge as almost same as Tokyo Disney Resort (Land & Sea). It is often used as a location to shoot dramas and films.
*Nagasaki Prefecture is in Kyushu area, the Southwestern of Japan.

Tokyo Disney Land & Sea in Chiba Prefecture
Probably the most famous theme park in Japan is Tokyo Disney Land (TDL). The wonderful world of Disney will entertain you a lot! If you’re lucky, you can take a photograph with the world’s famous mascot character, Mickey Mouse. Next to it, there is another Disney theme park called Tokyo Disney Sea (TDS), where is more suitable for mature as it is allowed to drink alcohol inside the park. Both TDL and TDS are connected with a special monorail.
*Chiba Prefecture is not so far from Tokyo. TDL and TDS have “Tokyo” in their names, but they are not in Tokyo.

Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Osaka
This is the first theme park which Universal Studios has made in outside of the US. You can enjoy the world of Hollywood movies like “Jaws”, “Jurassic Park” and “Spiderman”. Recently, USJ has opened some attractions named “Universal Cool Japan”. The latest one is Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s pop and cute ride. Others are rides of “Harry Potter” and theater shows of “Attack on Titan” and “Evangelion”.

Fuji-Q Highland in Yamanashi Prefecture
If you really like to feel thrill, why don’t you go to Fuji-Q Hiland? It’s the famous amusement park with thrill rides listed in Guinness World Records. Apart from the thrill rides, there are attractions collaborated with popular characters of anime or game such as “Gegege no Kitaro”, “Thomas and Friends” and “The Adventure of Hamtaro”.

Funabashi Andersen Park in Chiba Prefecture
With 5 fantasy zones, the park seems as if it is in the world of a fairy tale. The inside has been made with the image of the landscape where Andersen was brought up. Funabashi Andersen Park was not so famous few years ago, but it is gradually becoming popular to Japanese people these days. You will surprise to see 50 meter-long playground slide, and you can also try making crafts in the museum
