【VG】Live Report |Rayflower TOUR 2016 –Bloom Moment-　Special Additional Show (特別追加公演)

dsc_1732s Rayflower’s tour, “Bloom Moment,” was held from summer to autumn in 2016. The tour ended with great success, and a special additional show was held at TSUTAYA O-EAST on November 13, 2016. Not only female fans but also male fans gathered to see Rayflower, the members of which were all top artists. The band performed for three and a half hours including time spent shooting a music video of their new song and encore, however, the venue was filled with excitement from beginning to end.

(2016年夏から秋にかけて行われたRayflowerのツアー「Bloom Moment」。そのツアーを大盛況で終え、特別追加公演が11月13日にTSUTAYA O-EASTで行われた。実力者揃いのRayflowerのライブは女性ファンのみならず男性ファンも多く見られ、新曲のMV撮影とアンコールも含めて3時間半というロングライブとなったが、その会場は終始熱気に満ちていた。)

dsc_0284s When the venue blacked out, the fans’ clapping to the rhythmic opening music flowed naturally started. The members appeared on the stage one by one behind the white see-through curtain, and the cheers resounded in the venue. When the curtain dropped, triggered by YUKI’s distorted guitar sound, the first song “Welcome to The Gracious World” began as if the members welcomed the fans. The aggressive dark sound led by Sakura’s drumming filled with the venue after IKUO’s steady bass joined, and vocalist Takayuki Tazawa powerfully sang in his appealing voice. The sound Keiichi Miyako played throughout his body by the keyboard set vertically against the stage jazzed up the song. In the up-tempo number “CARDIO BURN,” the members and the audience rocked their bodies, and Keiichi Miyako excited the fans by headbanging too. YUKI played his guitar solo comfortably as if he were intoxicated with his sound, and the song ran through in a flash till the last heavy drumming with which the number ended.

(暗転すると流れ出したリズミカルなSEに自然とファンの手拍子がスタート。白いシースルーの幕の後ろにメンバーが続々と登場し、そのシルエットに歓声が鳴り響く。そしてYUKIの歪んだギターサウンドを引き金に幕が落ちるとメンバーがファンを歓迎するかのように始まった「Welcome to The Gracious World」。Sakuraのドラムを筆頭にIKUOの安定感のあるベースが加わり、攻め感のあるダークなサウンドが一気に会場を満たし、ヴォーカルの田澤孝介は訴えるように強く歌い上げる。横向きにセットされたキーボードで都啓一が全身で奏でるサウンドは曲を一気に華やかにした。アップテンポな「CARDIO BURN」ではメンバーもファンも激しく体を揺らし、都啓一は激しく頭を振りファンを煽る。YUKIはギターソロを音に酔いしれるかのように気持ちよさそうに奏で、ラストの激しいドラムで締めくくられるラストまで曲は一気に駆け抜けた。)

dsc_0297s “Yeah! Shibuya! Are you grooving? This is the last show of Rayflower in 2016! Let’s get excited!” After the short emcee, the relay of each solo part captivated the audience in “Survive no Susume,” and it advanced vigorously with speedy and technical performances by all of the instruments. “Garbera” started with emotional vocals from Takayuki Tazawa to the passionate deep sound from Keiichi Miyako, and in “Saigishin” a jazzy atmosphere created with the rhythm made by the bass had the audience’s bodies swaying naturally. YUKI created the sounds like those from an ethnic instrument using the acoustic guitar for “S.O.S. -Chinmoku no Scarlet-,” and attracted the fans with various sounds in the mysterious atmosphere.

(「イエーイ！渋谷！盛り上がってますか？今年最後のRayflower楽しんでいこうぜ！」ショートMCを挟み、続く「サバイヴノススメ」ではそれぞれのソロパートのリレーがファンの目を奪い、全楽器がスピーディーでテクニカルに勢いよく突き進んでいった。「Garbera」は、都啓一の情熱的な深いサウンドに田澤孝介のエモーショナルな歌声で始まり、ジャジーな雰囲気を醸し出す「彩戯心」ではベースのリズムがアクセントとなりファンの体を自然と揺らした。「S.O.S.～沈黙のスカーレット～」ではアコギを使用したYUKIは民族楽器のようなサウンドを奏で、ミステリアスな雰囲気の中、様々な音で魅了した。)

dsc_1759s In the emcee part, the vocalist asked the members what kind of feelings they had in order to show today’s performance, and it triggered surprises and laughs when the audience heard the updates from the members, who were very busy. Takayuki Tazawa, who was a good talker, had a friendly give that excited the audience more. The music performance restarted, and a message song, “Words Of The Wise Man,” which was gentle and warm, followed. For “Make A Judgment,” all of the members expressed each originality in the blue lights, and their techniques fused perfectly. The slapping bass created unique rhythm in “SOCIAL NETWORK GENERATION,” and the vocalist showed off his overwhelming voice even though he ran about and danced a lot. The last number of the main set, “Soul survivor,” in which Takayuki Tazawa and IKUO sang as twin vocalists, heated the fans. The members and the fans must have been satisfied with the main set.

(MCでは追加公演をどのような気持ちで迎えたかを聞きたい、という田澤孝介の前振りから多忙なメンバーたちの近況報告に驚きや笑いが絶えず、話し上手の田澤孝介の突っ込みによりさらにトークは盛り上がった。ライブが再開すると優しくあたたかなメッセージソング「Words Of The Wise Man」が続き、青いライトがステージを照らした「Make A Judgment」では、メンバー5人の個性が発揮され、それぞれの技術が見事に融合した1曲であった。ベーススラップが独特のリズムを作り出す「SOCIAL NETWORK GENERATION」では激しく動き回り踊るにも関わらず田澤孝介の力強い歌声は衰えを知らず、圧倒的な歌唱力を見せつけた。本編ラストは田澤孝介とIKUOがツインヴォーカルで掛け合う1曲「Soul survivor」で会場を熱くし、メンバーもファンも大満足であっただろう本編が終えられた。)

dsc_0047s After a break, the music video of their new song was filmed; the shooting had been announced beforehand. The catchy melody in the chorus was impressive, and the exciting performance was filmed for the fresh song. Although the show seemed to move forward to the encore after the shooting, YUKI suddenly took Sakura’s drum set, in addition, IKUO held the microphone. A birthday surprise for Takayuki Tazawa and Sakura, whose birthdays were close, was carried out by the three other members. YUKI, IKUO, and Keiichi Miyako played a rock version of “Happy Birthday,” but Takayuki Tazawa requested one more go because their performance was not perfect, and the audience laughed at his unusual request. Finally, the birthday boys were celebrated with birthday cakes after the second play.

(そして前もってアナウンスされていた新曲のMV撮影が行われた。サビのキャッチーなメロディーが印象的で、爽やかな楽曲に盛り上がるライブ映像が収録された。そのままアンコールに行くと思いきや、YUKIが突然Sakuraからドラムセットを奪い、IKUOがマイクを持った。そしてここで誕生日が近い田澤孝介とSakuraへの3人からのバースデーサプライズ。ロックテイストのハッピーバースデーが奏でられ、あまり演奏がうまくいかなかったことを理由に田澤孝介は再演奏をリクエストするという笑いもあり、2回目の演奏後、バースデーケーキで祝福された。)

dsc_0142s Although the show was very long, the members did not show tiredness but gave powerful performances. The last number, “Hanataba” began with heavy drumming. When the melody started, the number changed to the sweet song only with the piano and the vocals, and the song grew stronger toward the chorus after all of the instruments joined, however, the expressive vocals were as powerful as any instrument and echoed in the floor. After the performance, the vocalist delivered his gratitude for the year 2016, “It was a fulfilling year! Thank you very much!” and the three and a half hour show ended.

(アンコールでは長いライブであったにも関わらず全員疲れを見せないパワフルなパフォーマンスを見せ、ラストは力強いドラミングで始まった「花束」。歌が始まるとピアノとヴォーカルだけになり優しい楽曲に変わる。そしてサビに向けて全楽器が加わり勢いをつけ、その楽器の力強さに負けないほど力強く表現力豊かな歌声が会場中に響き渡っていた。演奏後「充実した1年間でした！ありがとうございました！」と2016年の感謝を述べ、3時間半のロングライブは幕を閉じた。)
