In December 2023, bassist Shigure’s 4strings project “Quattro Cantare” (read: Quattro Cantare) released the music video “Ave Maria feat. KAMIJO” with KAMIJO (Versailles) on guest vocals.
The second music video “The Phantom of the Opera” has been released. A change in the members from the previouse MV,features profound,luxurious and unique members;
violin&Ba: Shigure
Guest Gt:MORI (wyse)
Guest Ba:Ju-ken
Guest Dr:HIROKI (D)
Pf&Key: Sho Hakii
The various approaches that only these members can take to familiar melodies are interesting.
Shigure’s performance, in which he performs both bass and violin in the MV, sounds as smooth “As if he were singing,” as the project name suggests, is eye-catching. Amidst the song,twin bass sections by Shigure and Ju-ken without the violin in the middle section is also a highlight.
Here is a comment from Shigure.
“Sho Hakii, a pianist with a classical background who also played the keys on our previous album Ave Maria, Ju-ken, a bassist whom I greatly admire, MORI, whose guitar style I love, and HIROKI, whose delicate yet powerful drumming captivated me. The musicians gathered together. I strongly feel that the musical chemistry between the members has worked in a very positive direction.”
A project is underway to reveal the story behind the music video, so please look forward to the additional announcements.
Shigure is a bassist with four strings and a violin. Shigure, who has been a bassist for 30 years, is sure to break new ground as a two-fisted artist with this “4-string project,” which is the result of his own musical desires.
