CHISA (ACME) Makes U.S. Runway debut at Anime Expo, Live Music by American DJs Voia, James Landino, and Mitomoro
LOS ANGELES, CA – FAKE STAR changes streetwear fashion by showing its rock’n’roll side at Anime Expo. CHISA, vocalist of visual kei band ACME, will walk the runway for the brand KINGLYMASK in Los Angeles, CA. Simultaneously, punk-inspired fashion brand HYPERCORE and its illustrator and designer Hisacy will make their U.S. debut. The showcase of these two brands will effectively show that art, fashion, and music all have a place together.
Moreover, fans around the world will be able to watch the fashion show live via Anime Expo’s Twitch streaming platform at anime-expo.org/live. With a fresh concept of mixing art and music with streetwear brands, this year’s fashion show will be an unforgettable experience.

CHISA of ACME will have his U.S. debut on the runway for KINGLYMASK. While having just started the band in 2017, ACME has a strong following in the visual kei scene and is slated to release their first full length album this August. CHISA is well known overseas for his previous band DIV which was signed to Danger Crue Records, the label home to heavy hitters like L’arc~en~Ciel, MUCC, and SID. As the only guest on the AX roster from the visual kei industry, CHISA will be repping the industry’s constant collaboration with fashion streetwear brands like KINGLYMASK.
KINGLYMASK is garnering popularity for their genderless style, a genre gaining momentum in the fashion scene for its inclusivity. The brand has various celebrity collaborations and customers, including artists like i☆Ris, Golden Bomber, Satsuki Nakayama, and more. The brand also has several other lines under its umbrella, including #ootd among others.
HYPER CORE is a brand known for their graphics illustrated by designer Hisacy. Self-described as a brand for “boys & girls & zombies”, HYPER CORE has collaborated with artists like Yoshiki and hide of X Japan. AX will be the brand’s first overseas fashion show.
Special collaboration LEMONeD HYPER CORE items will be available in limited quantities at Anime Expo.
Live music for the show will be mixed by American DJs Voia, James Landino, and Mitomoro. Voia is an American dance pop producer who has worked on music for the Capcom rhythm game CrossXBeats, as well as official remixes and collaborations with Japanese acts such as Yanakiku, Kumi Koda and TeddyLoid. James Landino is a leading force in video game music composing for titles such as CYTUS II, DropMix, and Amplitude HD. Mitomoro is a household name in the current J-Core scene who has conquered the likes of Dim Mak Studios, NEST HQ, and many more of America’s Dance Music mainstays.
