ex. girugamesh ShuU produced personified artist “MR.8” music video revealed!
The mysterious “MR.8” project has finally started, gradually revealing the whole picture. “MR.8” is a personalized artist based on the concept of the character and sound from “MR.8,” a fashion brand in ShuU’s apparel EC site “THEE MAD COUNTRY’S STORE.” Its first music video has been revealed of its lead song “HELLO” from the CD that will be released on April 19. In order to bring to life the character skull panda which is the symbol of “MR.8”, a special mask was created by Yoichi Fukoka who cultivated his skills under Screaming Mad George who is known for creating masks for slipknot. Also starring Kazane Kanda from idol group “dela”, and world famous “Butoh” choreographer Heita Spiro, the music video is bizarre and avant-garde. The songs from the mini album have already been distributed in an initial digital release to 183 countries worldwide. The songs have been highly acclaimed and the music video is definitely also gaining great attention.
And don’t forget, MR.8 will have its first live on April 28 (fri). MR.8 will perform alongside a DJ, and a VJ will also be present at the live. There are high expectations for what kind of performance will be presented on the day. While this live is expected to be SOLD OUT, we recommend purchasing tickets early. In the lyrics card included in the CD, there is a phrase, “Everyone involved in this project is “MR.8”” Additionally, in the future MR.8 will be recruiting creators worldwide for songs and designs, eventually spreading and expanding its organization. “MR.8”という謎だらけのプロジェクトがいよいよ本格的に動き出し、 その全貌が明らかになってきた。 愁が立ち上げたアパレルECサイト「THEE MAD COUNTRY’S STORE」内で展開する ファッションブランド“MR.8”から想像するキャラクターや音などを様々なクリエイターにより具現化させた、 アーティスト“MR.8”が、来週4月19日発売のCDリリースに先駆けて、リード曲「HELLO」のMVが公開された。 今回の映像化にあたって“MR.8”の象徴であるスカルパンダのキャラクターを実在させる為に、slipknotのマスク制作等を行ったスクリーミング・マッド・ジョージのもとで技術を磨き上げた福岡洋一氏が特殊マスクを製作し“MR.8”を実際に擬人化させ、他にもアイドルグループ「dela」所属の神田風音や 世界的に「Butoh」と称され評価を得ている暗黒舞踏家のスピロ平太氏を起用等、奇抜でアヴァンギャルドな内容となっている。 ミニアルバムの音源は既に183カ国でデジタル先行配信が行われており評価も高く、このMVにも大注目である。
また、4月28日(金)には1stライヴも決定しており、当日はDJセットでMR.8がパフォーマンスを行い、VJも導入される模様。 どんな世界観が披露されるのかこちらも注目であり、 チケットはSOLD OUTが予想されるので早めに入手していただきたい。 CDの歌詞カードにも記載されているようだが、 このプロジェクトに関わった全ての人が“MR.8”となり、 今後は、世界中のクリエイターから楽曲やデザイン等を募っていくようで “MR.8”という組織が規模感を増して感染を広めていくだろう。
