On June, 25th (Saturday) they held the performance at Hibiya Yagaidaiongakudou for their “MUCC TOUR 2016 GO TO 20th ANNIVERSARY 孵化—哀ア痛葬是朽鵬６極志球業シ終T−”. This long tour is being referred to with the first character of the album title they released 19 years ago.
Before their 20th formation anniversary in 2017, there is a strongly special tour involving their career. Speaking of MUCC outdoor performance, it was cloudy but, finally they could start it well.
The hanging banner with “哀ア痛葬是朽鵬６極志球業シ終T” written vertically like a sutra in white and black was hung on the stage where, at 6 p.m, the members made their entry. Tatsurou（Vo）answered the cheers, brandishing the mike stand.
（６月25日（土）日比谷野外大音楽堂にて、『MUCC TOUR 2016 GO TO 20th ANNIVERSARY 孵化―哀ア痛葬是朽鵬６極志球業シ終T－』の初日公演が開催された。
長いツアーサブタイトル（メンバー曰く“文字化け”）は、19年間に発表してきたアルバム名の頭文字等で、１文字が１作品を表現。
2017年の結成20周年を前に、キャリアを網羅する意味合いの強い特別なツアーである。MUCCの野外公演と言えば雨が恒例だったが、曇天ながらも持ち応え、幸先の良いスタートを切った。
「哀ア痛葬是朽鵬６極志球業シ終T」と経文のように縦書きされた白・黒の垂れ幕が多数あしらわれたステージに、午後６時、メンバーが登場。逹瑯（Vo）は歓声に応えて大きくマイクスタンドを振り回す。）
YUKKE（B）started to use slapping bass sounds on「大嫌い」(daikirai).
‘It feels good right !? In this open air, for this short time, have fun with MUCC!’said Tatsurou while singing “嫌い嫌い嫌い嫌い”(kirai kirai kirai kirai) and getting close to YUKKE then he aimed to Miya, getting close to him too.
He went to Satochi (Dr) and threw him a sharp gaze which made him laugh ‘Even though it’s super scary!’ and then,
he started to sing louder and louder.
In an instant the music changed from “ENDER ENDER” to “KILLEЯ”.
On the last single,”ハイデ” whose song has been edited, the guitar phrases let a lyrical melody and beautiful metal sounds ring, making people singing the chorus along without even thinking, as the song contains MUCC like multicolored components.
While experiencing this kind of live a great enthusiasm runs through it and it is thrilling. During “JOKER” which started in no time, while running his hand along the mike stand and moving charmingly, Tatsurou skillfully manipulated his voice tone, intoxicating the fans with his fascinating voice.
（YUKKE（B）がスラップするベース音からスタートしたのは、「大嫌い」。
「気持ちいいね。野外でちょっとの時間、MUCCと遊んでってちょうだいよ」と語り掛けた逹瑯は、「嫌い嫌い嫌い嫌い」と歌いながらYUKKEに近付き、逃げられると次はミヤ（G）に接近。
鋭い眼差しを向けられて、「すごい怖いんですけど！」と笑わせ緊迫感をほぐすと、SATOち（Dr）に向き合った後、いよいよ歌い始めた。
「ENDER ENDER」からは一気に攻め込み、「KILLEЯ」へと雪崩れ込む。
最新シングル『ハイデ』に収録されたこの曲は、抒情的なメロディーとメタルの様式美を取り入れたギター・フレーズ、思わずシンガロングしたくなるコーラスパートなど、MUCCらしく多彩な要素が複雑に絡み合った曲。
こうしてライヴで体感すると、とにかく凄まじい勢いで駆け抜けていくのが痛快だ。間髪入れず始まった「JOKER」では、逹瑯はマイクスタンドに沿わせる手を艶めかしく動かしながら、声色を巧みに操り、妖艶なヴォーカルで観客を陶酔させた。）
With a feeling of dash, the customers were dancing boisterously on “謡声(ウタゴエ)” utagoe, and then the rhythm changed with the “ハイデ” edition of “悲しみとDANCEを” ( kanashimi to dance wo) in which the singing voice seems to recite a spell and mysterious guitar riffs lightened people’s hearts.
For the intro people’s cheers sounded like screams, growing hot while hearing the 2003 Major debut・Single “我、在ルベキ場所” (waga arubeki basho). Losing his balance and lying himself on the floor, Tatsurou, after sprawling himself he started to sing and when he was singing before long, being shot by the furiously flickering lights,
as if he was going to tear his chest he let people hear him singing with all his might.
While the scene was opened to the outside, “鎮痛剤”（first full album『痛絶』edition 2001）made a dark atmosphere and was very fascinating, then, for the song “A.” the guitar arpeggios repetitions turned sorrowful and beautiful.
（ 疾走感に溢れた「謡声（ウタゴエ）」で観客を乱舞させると、『ハイデ』収録の「悲しみとDANCEを」のめくるめくリズムの変動、呪文を唱えるかのような歌声、不穏なギターリフで心の深部をえぐる。
イントロで悲鳴のような歓声が沸いたのは、2003年のメジャーデビュー・シングル「我、在ルベキ場所」。カクンと倒れ込んだ逹瑯は寝そべったまま歌い始め、やがて立ち上がると、激しく明滅するライトに射られながら、やるせなさに胸を掻き毟るような渾身の歌を聴かせた。
開放的な屋外にありながら、ダークな密閉空間を立ち上がらせた「鎮痛剤」（2001年の1stフルアルバム『痛絶』収録）は幻惑的だったし、「A.」の繰り返し奏でられるギター・アルペジオは哀しくも美しかった。）
There is something we should mention about the song “ママ” (mama). Tatsurou made the effect of an explosion with the intense screams coming from his heart, after he moved as if he was helplessly looking for someone.
Miya made guitar phrases ring while bending on one knee. As if we were averting our eyes from reality, they created a dark world, bringing a terrific catharsis.
（そして特筆すべきは「ママ」である。心細げにウロウロと誰かを探し回るかのような動きをしながら、痛切な心の叫びを炸裂させる逹瑯。
跪いたり仰け反ったりしながら全身で荒れ狂うギター・フレーズを鳴らすミヤ。
目を背けたくなるような暗い世界を描きながらも、すさまじいカタルシスをもたらした。）
While the stage was painted in a rose color the new song, “トリガー”(toriga) resounded. The sentimental and straightforward song plunged into people chests, when “昔子供だった人達へ” came, destroying the wall between the old and new with something which was composed with “the actual MUCC” sounds.
What we can say about the whole performance is that no matter the rhythm changes, the high tempo, or the huge rocks, YUKKE and Satochi’s sense of stability was wonderful.
The piano intro of “イソラ”(isora) created some admiration gasps. Changing through the illusions like electro sounds and auto tune, the vocal change of sensitivity was well marked.
When the time to sing＜風に身を任せよう＞(kaze ni mi wo makaseyou) came, feeling the wind on our skin was probably the best part of the outdoor live. After this, the sun went down, and in the middle of the noises “この線と空”(kono sen to sora) calmly resounded through the venue.
（ステージが薔薇色に染まる中荘厳なメロディーを響かせた新曲「トリガー」、センチメンタルで真っ直ぐな歌が胸に飛び込んで来た「昔子供だった人達へ」と、新旧の壁をダイナミックにぶち壊しながらあくまで“現在のMUCC”の音で紡いでいく。
全編を通して言えることだが、どんなリズムの変化もハイテンポも盤石に支えるYUKKEとSATOちの安定感が凄まじい。
ピアノ・イントロで驚嘆の声を巻き起こしたのは「イソラ」。幻想的なエレクトロ・サウンドとオートチューンで変容させたヴォーカルが、情感をかえって際立たせる。
＜風に身を任せよう＞と歌ったタイミングでまさしく風を肌に感じたのは、野外ライヴならではの醍醐味。この頃には陽が沈み、暗がりの中で「この線と空」をしっとりと深く響き渡らせた。）
As a MC, Tatsurou said ‘We couldn’t include all the albums. The songs which “couldn’t be included” will progressively be added through this tour. So while thinking “oh they played this song there~. I want to hear it!” I’d like you to bite your lips and wait’.
For the final, they continued performing “家路”(ieji) with a deeply impressive voice and then , introduce the new song Ken（L’Arc~en〜Ciel）is producing and Yoshihito Tanaka made the arrangements for, “ハイデ”(haide) from the new single just released. The mysterious nostalgic and new feeling of this song, polished like a four-on-the-floor seemed to be made to wake up a scenery memory. The numerous white lights were moving up and down, as if they were some spirits, the dazzling light then were creating an amazing sight. After that, taking over the four-on-the-floor rhythm,「Mr.Liar」broke into,completely changing the mood. When stamping his foot on the two bass drums and rising his arms before and swinging down his sticks, SATOCHI was totally absorbed in drumming with a high speed. The music field became a headbang storm. Last came “TONIGHT”, making the customers and band members singing along, with the united venue, the anthem became louder than originally, bringing the show to its end.
（MCでは、「全部のアルバムは網羅できなかった。“入れられなかったな～”という曲、このツアーでガンガン入ってくるので。“あそこではこの曲やったか～。聴きたいな！”と思いながら、唇噛んで待っててもらいたいな、と」と逹瑯。
終盤は、包み込むような歌声が印象深かった「家路」に続き、Ken（L’Arc~en～Ciel）がプロデュース、田中義人がアレンジしたことでも話題の最新シングル表題曲「ハイデ」を披露した。洗練された四つ打ちを軸に、想い出の景色を呼び起こすような、新しくも懐かしい不思議な手触りのこの曲。幾多の白いライトが上下に動き、まるで揺らめく魂のように、眩い光を放つ美しい情景を立ち上げた。そのまま四つ打ちのリズムを引き継ぎながら「Mr.Liar」へ突入すると、ムードは豹変。怒涛の２バスドラムを踏み鳴らすと、大きく手を挙げてスティックを振り下ろしたSATOちは、猛スピードの高速ドラミングに没入。野音は咆哮とヘッドバンギングの嵐となった。ラストは「TONIGHT」、観客・メンバーが声を合わせ、会場が一体となる最強のアンセムで本編を締め括った。）
The first who arrived on stage, responding to the encore, YUKKE asked ‘if I was was a fan I think I would be super excited about this tour but, how about you?’, making people clap their hands to cheer.
SATOCHI revealed ‘I made a Buddhist Japanese doll to pray for good weather.’ ‘I wonder if it’s been almost 5 years since we’ve done Chemical(Parade tour music field. In 2011)? With the rain my drums pedals are messy and became super slick so I slip on it’
‘Even though the tour started we are still doing rehearsal!’ continued Tatsurou, and Miya added ‘if you’re wondering what he meant, it’s because there are still some songs we didn’t perform. We don’t really trust the regional studio though (lol)‘.
（アンコールに応えて一番乗りで登場したYUKKEが、「こういうツアーって、俺がファンだったらすげえワクワクすると思うんですけど、どうですか？」と問い掛けると、拍手と歓声が沸き起こる。
SATOちは、「俺、てるてる坊主をつくった」と明かしつつ、「前にやったChemical(Paradeツアー時の野音。2011年)から５年ぐらい経つのかな？ 雨でドラムのペダルがベチャベチャでツルツル滑って」と苦労を振り返った。
「このツアー、始まったのにまだまだツアーリハやります！」と逹瑯が明かすと、ミヤは「どういうことかと言うと、まだやってない曲があるから。地方スタジオに入る疑惑が（笑）」と補足。）
In other words, they meant that prior tour they had rehearsal in the region they were and planned to have a renewal set list with different songs than the ones announced on the first tour day.
While the talk naturally continued among the members ‘(it was time to make some noise one last time) It’s totally fine for us to always being talking until 8:30p.m . Is it really alright for you (laugh)? Can we make you also waiting and expecting when it’s for a talk?’ Tatsurou joked around.
The edge of the music they made and the contrasting calm MC was the result of these long 19 years.
（つまり、この初日に披露した以外の曲を、ツアー先の地方で練習しセットリストを絶えず更新していく、という攻めのプランを意味する。
メンバー間でこうしてトークを自然に繋ぎながら、「（音を出す最終時刻である）８時半までずっとしゃべっててもいいし。それでもいい（笑）？ トークでもすげー楽しませるよ？」と冗談めかす逹瑯。
エッジの立った音楽とは対照的なこの穏やかなMCの空気感も、19年という長い年月の賜物に思えた。）
‘It’s the first time for the single but we got to make the lyrics and the musical composition.’explained YUKKE about the new song,”CLASSIC” which will be the opening theme of the TV anime broadcasted starting from August, 28th “七つの大罪 聖戦の予兆”(Nanatsu no Daizai Seisen no Yocho).
‘it sounds like a single with a dash feeling and it’s a good song, right? Isn’t it hair-rising?MUCC wish this kind of thing(lol)？’ laughed Tatsurou when since the beginning this feeling of dash was swelling,the anime song has the right to be proud of the catching melody lines.
The close lyrics of this world pint of view work powerfully and straightforwardly went to resound into people’s minds.
During “1997″ all the members decided to jump, then appropriately to the night darkness with willingly shouts and a kind of dark madness,”オルゴォル”(Orugooru) followed, followed itself by “蘭鋳”(ranchuu) after a moment of silence.
The fans got their hair disheveled at the same time, the chaos appeared in one breath.
When everybody sat Tatsurou teased the sitting customers, asking ‘What, you’re sitting in your own convenience ？ You… when did you decide to take snap decisions like this(lol)？”.
As he was looking at the lighten building through the windows light he continued agitatedly ‘in a way where you can either think ‘I also want to go’ or ‘I absolutely don’t want to go” show us the best boisterous merrymaking!！’.
In the tour first date music field they said”I want to do something standard today. Because we have to make it up right. Bring it on !”with self confidence. With the audience put on fire everybody jumped to SATOCHI’s countdowns.
At this instant the stage was covered in smoke. In the dazzling excitement the curtains were closed.
（「シングルでは初めてなんですけど、作詞・作曲をやらせてもらいました」とYUKKEが明かした新曲「CLASSIC」は、8月28日放送開始のTVアニメ『七つの大罪 聖戦の予兆』のオープニングテーマ曲。
「疾走感のあるシングルらしいいい曲だよ？ おどろおどろしくないよ？ MUCCにそういうの求めてる（笑）？」と逹瑯は笑わせたが、冒頭からまさに疾走感が漲り、キャッチーなメロディーラインを誇るアニメソングの王道。作品の世界観に寄り添った歌詞も力強く、真っ直ぐに心に響いて来た。
全員ジャンプの指令を下した「1997」、夜の闇に似つかわしい暗い狂乱と渾身のシャウトで時空を歪ませた「オルゴォル」と続け、一瞬の静寂の後、問答無用のキラーチューン「蘭鋳」へ突入。
観客が一斉に髪を振り乱し、息を飲むカオスが出現した。
全員を一旦座らせる恒例の場面では、先走りして座ろうとした観客を「何勝手に座ってんの？ お前ら、いつの間に見切り発車するようになった（笑）？」とイジる逹瑯。
窓の明かりが灯るビルを見やりながら、「“俺も行きたい”と思うような、もしくは“絶対行きたくない”と思うような、最高の乱痴気騒ぎを見せてやれ！」と煽る。
初日であるこの野音を「今日を基準にしたい。絶対超えてやるからな。かかってこいや！」と自分自身に、観客に気合入れするように焚き付けて、SATOちのカウントで全員が一斉にジャンプ。
その瞬間、ステージを覆い尽くすほどのスモークが噴出。めくるめく興奮の中、公演は幕を閉じた。）
Starting from the next tour date on the 07/09（Saturday）at Kyoto FANJ and the17 nationwide places which will follow, according to the MC, the chances of announcement of a special songs which can only be heard to each venue are high.
Until the final at Osakajo Yagaidaiongakudou on September, 3rd (Saturday), you had to go to the first live to see what kind of changes and progress will be made with your own eyes.
（ツアーは次の７月9日（土）京都FANJから全国17か所を巡ることになるが、MCにもあった通り、各地でその会場でしか聴けない曲を披露する可能が高く、予測不可能だからこその刺激やスリルを味わえるツアーになることだろう。
大阪城野外音楽堂で9月3日（土）にファイナルを迎えるまでに、どんな変貌・進化を遂げていくのか、全公演を自分の目で確かめたくなるような初日公演だった。）

As it was announced earlier during the encore, the song “CLASSIC” has been chosen to be the opening them if the TV anime “七つの大罪 聖戦の予兆”(Nanatsuno daizai seisen no Yocho).

This work MUSIC VIDEO was supervised by Takuro Ookubo, the same as for RADWIMPS, Gesu no Kiwamiotome,[Alexandros], Kazuya Yoshii’s MUSIC VIDEO (etc…). It became a work showing the members hometown, Ibaraki prefecture, through the stage and the musicality.
